The UWA Winthrop Scholarship is automatically awarded to eligible high-achieving Year 12 students to encourage and assist them to commence and undertake undergraduate studies at The University of Western Australia.

The University of Western Australia is a public research university in the Australian state of Western Australia.
Eligibility
- have applied through the Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC) whilst in Year 12 for a place at the University, nominating a course at the University as their first preference in the first round of offers* and
- achieve an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of at least 99.90 or
- have been short-listed for a UWA Fogarty Foundation Scholarship and achieve the required ATAR as outlined in their conditional letter of offer 2 or
- in the opinion of the Coursework Scholarships Committee have attained other academic or outstanding achievement.
