University Research Scholarships for International Students at University of Leeds
- 10 March 2017
The University of Leeds is offering up to 18 University Research Scholarships for international students. These scholarships are awarded to study the subjects offered at the School of English.
The University of Leeds is a redbrick university in the city of Leeds, West Yorkshire. Officially founded in the early 20th century, the university’s origins can be traced back to the 19th century, when the Yorkshire College of Science was established. It was one of the first colleges in the UK for students of all faiths and backgrounds, set up to challenge the exclusivity of Oxford and Cambridge.
Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.
Full-time and part-time UK/EU applicants who have applied for a place on a PhD, are intending to begin their studies at Leeds in October 2017, and hold a 2:1 or first class undergraduate degree.
Full cost of tuition fees and a maintenance grant towards living costs (£14,296 in 2016/7).
Number of Scholarships: There are 18 scholarships available.
Students can apply for all of their postgraduate degrees online. Students will be asked to create an account, allowing them to save their application and return to it at a later time, as well as track its progress once they have submitted it.
