University of Kent postgraduate research scholarship
Kent’s postgraduate scholarship fund is worth over £8 million and includes scholarships for taught and research programmes as well as subject and location specific funding.
Although the major research council deadlines are in January each year, the University continues to allocate funding throughout the year and some of our awards, such as for music and sports scholars do not have deadlines.
Candidates must hold a good Honours degree (First or 2i) or a Master’s degree at merit or distinction in a relevant subject or equivalent.
GTAs and Scholarships are available to UK, EU and overseas postgraduate research students.
The TOEFL® test is a popular option for students to meet the English-language requirements for scholarships.
The seven UK Research Councils offer awards to UK candidates comprising tuition fees and a maintenance grant (£14,057 for the 2015-16 academic year).
