Underwater and Marine Computer Vision

Outstanding and motivated PhD candidates, with very good first Masters or honours degree in mathematics, computer science or science, are being sought to work as part of a research team on developing methods for underwater and marine computer vision. The research in this project has a strong focus on machine learning and is a collaborative effort between the CSIRO and the Machine Intelligence Research Lab at Deakin University, Australia.
A strong background in mathematics and some programming experience is desirable for this position. Experience in computer vision and/or machine learning is also a plus.
International onshore and domestic applicants only. Unfortunately, with travel restrictions preventing offshore international students commencing in Australia, the higher degree by research admissions team is not currently considering applications from offshore international students
