The D. H. Chen Foundation Scholarships

Full-time Year One undergraduate students of UGC-funded programs who are admitted in the following academic year and Hong Kong permanent residents with good academic achievement with cumulative grade average of at least 3.50 of active registration status are eligible to apply for the scholarships.

• The Scholars of D. H. Chen Foundation Scholarships (Scholars) will each receive a Full Tuition Scholarship, i.e. HK$42,100, (starting from 2021/22) per academic year for the normative study period on UGC-funded basis of their respective study programs, subject to the fulfillment of all the renewal conditions (see Information Sheet).
• A maximum amount of HK$80,000 overseas exchange scholarship (subject to annual adjustment) will be offered to support Scholars’ enrollment in up to two overseas exchange program or overseas study trip organized or endorsed by their respective Schools during the undergraduate study. • An additional living allowance of HK$38,000 will be offered to those Scholars who are with proven financial needs and special education needs. The provision of living allowance in the subsequent years will be subject to annual review on awardees’ financial situations and/or special learning needs. Living allowance will be suspended in the year when the Scholars are awarded with the overseas exchange scholarship mentioned above in point #2.
