Eligibility

Students must continue to demonstrate financial need to remain eligible. Funding is generally limited to Texas residents. The fifteen most common “packaged open criteria” scholarships are: James Hogg Memorial, A.D. Hutchison Endowment Fund, Taylor and Edith Gilbert, Dwight D Book, Student Proporty Deposit, Ralph Read, David Bruton, Albert & Anice Vanderlee, Cullen Trust for Higher Education, Hinds-Webb, Maggie Dee Stell, Ralph Nelson, Walter B Smith, Jr., JP Morgan Chase, Allien and Paul C. Davidson.

Application

To be considered for the Terry Foundation Scholarship at The University of Texas at Austin you must:

  • Apply for admission using either the ApplyTexas application or the Coalition for College Access, Affordability, and Success application by December 1. There are required Terry Foundation Scholarship-specific questions on the Scholarship Interest Form available through MyStatus; the deadline to submit the scholarship interest form is one week after the admissions deadline
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by January 15. (Application available October 1). The FAFSA will determine your eligibility and is REQUIRED for all Terry Foundation Candidates.
