In addition to WAI requirements the applicant must:
- Be a woman pursuing a career to become a professional career pilot
- Already hold a Private Pilot certificate
- Be in pursuit of an advanced pilot certificate or rating.

Benefits
The scholarship has a value of $5,000.
Funds will be paid directly to the flight school to be applied to the recipient’s account and must be used within a year of receiving the award.

In addition to the 500-word WAI essay requirement, the candidate should answer the following questions in a 200-word paragraph:
What encouraged you to pursue a career in aviation as a pilot?
What steps/plans have you created to achieve this goal?
Describe your current financial need for this scholarship. How will this help you achieve your goals?
