The Sub-Saharan Africa Project is a Luiss University program designed for students and researchers and aimed at providing an educational opportunity to talented young people from the Sub-Saharan Africa region, enabling them to pursue bachelor's or master's degree programs in Italy through the awarding of scholarships disbursed by the University's partner organizations and business enterprises.

  • Future master's students who are citizens of a Sub-Saharan African country with priority afforded to students from the following nations: Angola, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, Mozambique and Rwanda.

The scholarship, worth a total of €54,000, consists of:

a full waiver of the University’s annual tuition fee, for the entire standard duration of the degree program(two years), and the taxes levied by the State or the Lazio Region (e.g. regional student welfare tax, graduation tax, etc.);

free room and board provided at the University's halls of residence from the student's arrival in Italy until 31 July 2025;

the disbursement of €2,500 per annum to cover expenses incurred by the student for the purchase of a round-trip flight from the student's country ofresidence, the obtaining of a visa and residence permit and the purchase of learning materials.
