The robustness and sustainability of sport at an elite level is predicated on its integrity. This has been seriously challenged globally by recent events at IOC, FIFA and other major international bodies. The aim of this study is to develop a sport integrity toolkit that will enable Welsh sports organisation to understand and evaluate risks concerning (inter alia):
match manipulation and competition managementdoping and supplementsillicit drugs and alcoholillegal gambling and match fixingabuse of prescription and other medications.
The toolkit will be a useful policy tool to develop good governance practice in relation to integrity threats.
Candidates should have a 2.1 or above in their undergraduate degree, a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science or a related subject. The studentship covers the full cost of UK/EU tuition fees, plus a stipend. The bursary will be limited to a maximum of £11,358 p.a. dependent upon the applicant’s financial circumstances.
