This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate or postgraduate student from the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia or Slovakia. The value of the award is a maximum of £4,000 per annum towards fees or maintenance costs or travelling expenses.

The university aims to assist students who require financial assistance with scholarships.

The University of Edinburgh, founded in 1582, is the sixth oldest university in the English-speaking world and one of Scotland’s ancient universities.

Applicants must have previous degree programme. All students from every nationality are required to prove their English language competence**.**

Eligibility

The scholarship is awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit and primarily to citizens from the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia or Slovakia who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a programme of study within the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine and whose personal circumstances would make accepting an offer from the University difficult.

Benefits

The value of the award is a maximum of £4,000 per annum towards fees or maintenance costs or travelling expenses and is tenable for the duration of the programme of study, subject to satisfactory academic progress.
