Schlieben-Lange Programme for Young Researchers with Children

The Schlieben-Lange Programme is open to women who, as young researchers with children, work in Baden-Württemberg. Holders of a first academic degree now have the opportunity to combine their scientific or artistic qualifications with family responsibilities and, possibly, professional responsibilities, or can choose to restart or continue their scientific or artistic work, or choose to work in a career-integrated format.On the one hand, the programme funds doctoral and postdoctoral (Habilitation) projects, while, on the other, promoting artistic qualifications.
Applicants must hold a first academic degree
Women with children who combine their scientific or artistic qualification with family responsibilities and, possibly, professional responsibilities, and who would like to take up or continue their scientific or artistic work, or would like to work in a career-integrated format.
They research or artistic work has to be conducted at a university in Baden-Württemberg.

The TOEFL® test is a popular option for students to meet the English-language requirements for scholarships.
The funding amounts to 1,200 euros per month for a doctorate or scientific thesis, 1,400 for the preparation of and 1,800 euros per month for the postdoctoral qualification (Habilitation).
For the doctorate and the habilitation the scholarship can be given up to 2 years, in exceptional cases up to 3, while for the preparation for the habilitation the maximum is 1 year.
