Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at University of Munich

The Chair of Political Systems and European Integration, Department of Political Science (GSI), University of Munich (LMU), invites applications for postdoctoral Research Fellowship for a period of three years, commencing on 1 July 2017.
The Geschwister-Scholl-Institute for Political Science (GSI) is one of the leading political science institutes in Germany. With his nine professorships and more than 50 members of staff, he covers all core areas of political science, from political theory to the comparison of political systems and international relations to the methods of political science, both in research and teaching.
The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship
- Applicants must have a PhD (or proof of successful viva voce) in political science, public administration or international relations as well as proven expertise in international organisations and/or global refugee policy. An excellent command of English, the project’s working language, is necessary. Specialised methodological training (qualitative/quantitative) and experience in international field research are an advantage. Proficiency in Arabic (for field research) and other UN languages is an asset.
