The School of Engineering, Computer & Mathematical Sciences, Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand, seeks self-motivated and independently working applicants for a 3.5-year PhD position contributing to a Blue Economy CRC Project: Investigation of an optimum control strategy for the energy management in Low-Voltage Hydrogen based DC Micro-grids.

Eligibility

• The successful applicant must meet the conditions defined for admission to a PhD programme at AUT. https://www.aut.ac.nz/courses/doctor-of-philosophy. • The essential skills and experience for PhDs to undertake this Scholarship are: • Excellent university degree in Electrical / Electronic / Power Systems Engineering or a comparable field • Strong mathematical background • Knowledge of modelling, preferably of power systems • Sound knowledge and experience in programming particularly in Matlab • Experiences in mathematical optimization, simulation and machine learning • Excellent ability for cooperative collaboration • Very good written and communication skills in English • Preferably knowledge of Opal-RT
