PhD Positionsin Marketing for International Students at University of Leeds
Three full PhD scholarships are available for candidates in marketing, who will develop the ability to pursue research that advances the frontiers of the marketing discipline and solves business and marketing problems using advanced research tools and techniques. They will learn how to derive implications from their research results and communicate their findings to policymakers, practitioners, and academics. The PhD Programme supports doctoral research students and enables them to develop skills in the analysis of different types of data using a range of techniques and approaches.
Furthermore, doctoral research students are expected to attend and participate in seminars, workshops, and conferences organized by the Marketing Division and Graduate School, and more widely within Leeds University Business School. This helps expose doctoral research students to new research ideas and practices and create a stimulating environment for innovative thinking and impactful scholarly research.

The TOEFL® test is a popular option for students to meet the English-language requirements for scholarships.
We are offering three full-time PhD scholarships as follows:
- One full-time PhD scholarship for one UK/EU candidate covering a maintenance stipend and UK/EU tuition fees for three years, subject to satisfactory progress.
- Two full-time PhD scholarships for two international candidates covering a maintenance stipend and international tuition fees for three years, subject to satisfactory progress.
Maintenance stipends are paid at the UK Research Council rate (£15,009 in 2019/20, the rate is reviewed annually).
In order to apply for this scholarship, you should first apply for a place on the PhD programme at Leeds University Business School.
You should then apply for the scholarship, using the student ID number you received after submitting your PhD application.
You must have submitted all the relevant documents in support of your PhD application by the scholarship closing date.
If English is not your first language, you must provide evidence that you meet the Leeds University Business School minimum English language requirements (below) before registration. You do not need to have met the requirement at the time you apply.
We welcome applications from all suitably-qualified candidates, but UK black and minority ethnic (BME) researchers are currently under-represented in our Postgraduate Research community, and we would therefore particularly encourage applications from UK BME candidates. All scholarships will be awarded on the basis of merit.
