MediaAC (Media Arts Cultures) - Erasmus Mundus joint master degree

Media Arts Cultures is an Erasmus Mundus joint master degree developed by a consortium of four universities. This two-year master’s course with 120 ECTS workload (four semesters) awards a joint degree (Master of Arts in Media Arts Cultures). University Partners: Danube University Krems, Austria (coordinator) - Aalborg University, Denmark - University of Lodz, Poland - City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
The MediaAC master program answers the needs of the evolving fields related to the future and heritage of Media Arts Cultures. Our global digital world is filled with new media culture that encompasses the big questions of today such as the processes of globalisation, utopias of neuroscience, political repression, big data, and the growing world-wide surveillance. Thus, the analysis of media arts cultures is socially and culturally enlightening.
Applicants must have as first degree at least a Bachelor degree or higher issued by a university (quantified as three years of studies corresponding to 180 ECTS). Or (if ECTS is not used in countries where the first degree was acquired): proof a period of study at a higher education level considered comparable to a Bachelor’s degree (on decision of the MediaAC Admission board). Note for Erasmus+ Scholarship applicants: Your degree must be completed by the scholarship deadline.
Applicants must also have sufficient knowledge of English for academic purposes corresponding to level B.

MediaAC is supported by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union under the action of a Joint Master Degree. Programme Countries scholarship grantees receive all participation fees paid, 1000 EUR per month stipend for the duration of the 24 month masters program and 1.000 EUR per year per scholarship holder for travel costs. Partner Countries scholarship grantees receive all participation fees paid, 1000 EUR per month stipend for the duration of the 24 month masters program and between 1000 and 5000 EUR for travel, depending on the distance of the home country to the MediaAC coordinating university.
