Graduate funding at the Faculty of Law is modest, given the number and quality of students in our programs. We therefore strongly recommend that applicants secure their own funding from outside sources. O’Brien Fellowships for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism

The O'Brien Fellowships were established in 2005 through a very generous gift from David O’Brien (BCL ’65), for outstanding graduate students studying in the area of human rights and legal pluralism in the Faculty of Law. Erin J.C. Arsenault Fellowships in Space Governance

The Arsenault Fellowships in Space Governance are available for eligible outstanding graduate students in the Master’s or Doctoral program at the Institute of Air and Space Law engaged in the research of peace and security in outer space through law, policy and global governance. External Funding – SSHRC Master’s Award

Students who are Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents may apply for external funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. This grant is for $17,500 for one year.
