- Be Jewish
- Be a graduate of a secondary school and/or between the ages of 16 and 35
- Have not been on an organized post-high school program (including an academic program) of more than four months in Israel since September 2004
- Not have Israeli citizenship OR if you do, you must have left Israel before the age of 14 and have lived outside of Israel for at least four consecutive years prior to receiving your grant
- Have not spent 4 consecutive months or longer in Israel within the 24 month period prior to the start of your chosen Masa program after the age of 18.

Benefits
The value of the scholarship depends on which program you are enrolled in, or from what country you are from.
Application
You may only submit a request for Masa and their financial assistance (grants and/or need-based scholarships) up until the start of your program. If you submit a request after the program start date, you will not be eligible for any financial assistance.
You may submit all of the documents required for a need-based scholarship up to ten days after the start date of the program. If you do not submit the documents by that date, you will not be eligible for a need-based scholarship.
The Masa Visa (A2) may be submitted up to one month into the duration of your program. More details on obtaining this visa are available with your program provider.
After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email from Masa. The email will include a PDF file of your application – please verify that all of the information in the PDF file is correct. In addition, you will receive an email with your username and password for the Masa Fellows Portal.
