Launceston Grammar

Although founded in 1846, the present school was formed in 1983 from the amalgamation of the boys' Launceston Grammar School and girls' Broadland House Church of England Girls' Grammar School.

Eligibility

The Scholarship Programme is open to students entering Grades 4 to 12 in 2021. Please refer to the information below to determine the Scholarships for which the applicant is eligible to apply.

Applicants must be Australian citizens or Permanent Residents of Australia (evidence of residency must be provided).

International students on Student Visas are eligible to apply for the International Boarding Scholarship only. Please contact the Registrar’s office for more details.

Benefits

Successful applicants will receive part remission of tuition fees (up to 50% concession). Scholarships are tenable until the end of Grade 12 unless noted otherwise.

Application

Academic Scholarship: Applicants must register online for the Academic Exam by Friday 14 February 2020. Late applications will not be considered. The exam is scheduled for Friday 21 February 2020.

All other Scholarship applications (regardless of which Scholarships are being applied for) must submit the following:

  • Scholarship Application form
  • Copy of the applicant's two school reports;
  • Copy of the applicant’s NAPLAN report(s)
  • Copy of certificates of achievement/accolades (please limit to a few)

Some scholarships will require additional documentation to be submitted, please refer to the relevant Scholarship below for more information.

If applying for more than one Scholarship, an applicant must address all Scholarship criteria in the one Scholarship application form, specifically in the Applicant’s Letter.

Applications will not be returned therefore we ask that only copies of reports and certificates be supplied.

Failure to include all required documentation may result in the Scholarship application not being considered.
