- $10,000 over four years
- 16 February 2018
This is a great opportunity for year 12 students. The 2018 Kluwell Publications Educational Scholarship is now open for applications.Kluwell Publications has committed to funding five scholarships worth $10,000 to students studying a Bachelor of Education at La Trobe University–Bendigo Campus, and who aspire to teach at a primary school.Kluwell Publications, based in Bendigo, is an Australian Company formed in 1998. Kluwell Publications publish and distribute quality, innovative educational products which have been developed and endorsed by teachers, students and parents. The original directors of Kluwell Publications, Stan Kluzek and Andrew Coldwell, were from regional/rural areas when they were awarded government studentships to attend teachers college. Students now have to fund themselves to attend university, and regional youth do not have the education opportunities of their urban counterparts. As firstly teachers, then directors of our company, Stan and Andrew felt it was appropriate to assist students who wished to become primary school teachers, and who came from rural areas. Says Stan Kluzek: “Kluwell hopes that our scholarships and bursaries will go partially to lessening the financial burdens that go hand in hand with the cost of regional education, the tyranny of distance and finding suitable accommodation. That is, we hope to increase opportunities for success.”
