The HOPE Foundation Scholarships are intended to support scientists in the early stages of their careers conducting research into ageing. The HOPE Foundation for Research on Ageing is a non-Government funded Charitable Trust established to prepare New Zealand for an ageing future.

Eligibility
• All applicants for these scholarships must: • Be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents, there is however discretion to also consider applications from International students of merit, who are currently enrolled and doing postgraduate research study onshore at a New Zealand University. • Be enrolled and have paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for a full-time or part-time master's thesis/dissertation, or doctoral thesis at AUT University on a topic related to ageing. Applications will be accepted from a wide range of disciplines in line with the HOPE Foundation's philosophy of encouraging eclectic research into ageing and its effects on individuals and society.

• The value of the scholarship is $6,000 • One scholarship will be awarded annually. The Scholarship will be paid in two instalments, at the beginning of each semester.
