When applying for our courses, it is important you consider the financing of your tuition fees and living expenses for the duration of your course. There are different possibilities of obtaining financial support, including:
- Global Health & Social Medicine Postgraduate Scholarship
- Welcome Award for MSc in Global Health & Social Justice
- Continue at the School of Global Affairs, Postgraduate Scholarship
- Professor Janet Askham Bursary
All students are eligible, including those from the UK, EU and overseas.
The top candidate will be selected based on previous academic performance, relevant experience (where appropriate) and the personal statement indicating reasons for applying to the particular course.
There is no separate application procedure for the scholarship. If you have submitted a complete application by midnight (UK time) on 31 March in the given year, you will automatically be considered for the scholarship.
A fully completed application includes a complete online application form and all supporting documents. This includes personal statements, transcripts, references and IELTS certificates where appropriate. All materials must have been submitted via the Postgraduate Admissions Portal by the due time and date.
The TOEFL® test is a popular option for students to meet the English-language requirements for scholarships.
We're offering one master’s award, valued at £9,900, for 2020/21 entry for a full-time student onto one of our courses.
A departmental panel will decide the top candidate and award the scholarship. The successful candidate will be notified by 15 May at the latest in the given year.
