The George C. Brooks Scholarship is a competitive award, requiring a separate MU application for consideration. Students meeting the requirements will be notified by the Office of Admissions for an interview.

Eligibility

  • Membership in a racial or ethnic minority group that is underrepresented in relation to the university’s goal to achieve education benefits of a diverse student body, minimum ACT composite score of 25 or an SAT score of 1200 and excellent academic record.

Benefits

Students can receive the scholarship for a maximum of eight consecutive (fall or spring) semesters, or until receiving a bachelor’s degree, whichever occurs first.

The award is worth $8,000 for Missouri residents and $29,500 for non-residents per year renewable for an additional three years.
