The Fulbright funds graduate studies, independent research, or teaching English in over 150 countries worldwide. As envisioned by Senator Fulbright, the program is designed to: o promote mutual understanding through a commitment to the free flow of ideas and people across national boundaries. o expand, through this understanding, the boundaries of human wisdom, empathy and perception. o create true and lasting world peace through cooperation in constructive activities among people of different nations.

Eligibility

o Current juniors (graduating 2023), seniors, recent graduates, current graduate students, or alumni o U.S. Citizenship required.

Benefits

Types of grants o English Teaching Assistantships (ETA): recipients assist in the teaching of English and a complementary project. o Study/Research Grants (including artistic/creative inquiry): students may 1) conduct research in an academic or institutional setting 2) pursue study with a complementary project. Recipients will need a host country affiliation with the institution or organization.

Application

Application Procedure o Candidates need to develop a statement of grant purpose and personal statement o Study/Research candidates must secure an in-country affiliation. o Grants will fund project and living expenses for an 8-12 month period. o Students apply to a specific country for a specific proposal. You may only apply to one country only.
