The Forrest Research Foundation was established in 2014 by philanthropists Andrew and Nicola Forrest to support the most able and creative junior researchers from around the world to pursue their intellectual goals at any of Western Australia’s five outstanding universities.
Forrest scholarships are open to international and domestic students intending on enrolling in a PhD at a Western Australian University. Forrest Scholars have outstanding academic ability and are at the forefront of world leading research, which has the potential to change the world.
The Forrest Research Foundation PhD Scholarships for 2019 are open to outstanding students from all disciplines and all countries. The scholarships provide fees, accommodation, a stipend and a travel and research allowance for up to four years. Applications are being accepted until 31 October 2018.
An applicant must have a bachelor’s degree of First Class Honours standard or equivalent, such as a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.8/4.0. Applicants will typically be in the top 5% of students in their graduating class. The average GPA of current Forrest Scholars is greater than 3.95/4.00. Applicants must be willing to reside with other Forrest Scholars at Forrest Hall (exemptions may be considered in special circumstances in accordance with the Scholarship Conditions).

All Forrest Scholars will receive a scholarship package which includes fees, stipend, accommodation and travel allowance.
