The successful applicant will need to successfully apply to the PhD programme, which can be done via the website: http://www.graduate.study.cam.ac.uk/how-do-i-apply. The applicant will have to pay the £50 application fee.
The TOEFL® test is a popular option for students to meet the English-language requirements for scholarships.
The award provides a grant at current EPSRC rates and the University Composition Fee at the home rate. Non-European Union students will be expected to be able to cover the difference between the fees for European Union students and the fees for Non-European Union students, whether through another award or by other means. The Studentship also attracts a contribution towards consumables and travel costs of £7k per annum. Special cases for an increase in this figure may be considered at the discretion of the Committee of Management.
