Erasmus Mundus A 2 SIGMA: fully funded scholarships to the EU for the Western Balkans
Erasmus Mundus A2 SIGMA: fully funded scholarships for Undergraduate, Master and , PhD students, researchers, academic and administrative staff from the Western Balkans to study, do reasearch or teach at one of the EU partner universities in Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Sweden, the Netherlands, the UK. The scholarship scheme SIGMA is funded by the European Commission within the Programme Erasmus Mundus Action 2. The aims of the programme include:
- Mutual enrichment of societies by developing qualifications and skills, particularly as regards to the labour market;
- Promotion of mobility for students, researchers, academic and administrative staff, including vulnerable groups, based on excellence;
- Contribution towards the development of human resources and the international cooperation capacity of HEIs in the participating countries with the principles of equal opportunities.
Students, researchers, academic and administrative staff from universities in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, FYR of Macedonia, Kosovo (as defined under UNSCR 1244/99), Montenegro, and Serbia (Target group 1, 2 or 3) who are nationals of one of these countries.
Students, researchers, academic and administrative staff from partner universities in the EU (Target group 1) who are nationals of the EU.
All applicants must have finished at least one year of university studies.
Applicants from the Western Balkans cannot have spent more than a total of 12 months over the last 5 years in one of the EU countries (doesn't apply to staff & Target Group 3).
Please note that you cannot accept other Erasmus Mundus grants for the same type of activity. This doesn't apply to staff.
Return travel, insurance, tuition fee (if relevant), monthly allowance from 1000 EUR to 2500 EUR: Undergraduate and Master students: 1000 EUR; PhD students: 1500 EUR; PostDoc's: 1800 EUR; Staff: 2500 EUR per month.
