Delta wants to help make a difference in the industry and in the life of anyone who dreams of being a pilot. To help make a difference, Delta Air Lines will award a scholarship to qualified, Women in Aviation members currently in pursuit of their instrument, commercial, CFI, CFII, MEI, and primary certificates and a U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens.

This scholarship is intended for women seeking advancement in professional aviation development towards a career as a professional airline pilot. The recipient will be chosen on a basis of merit, career aspirations, and dedication, as well as contributions to their community and service with WAI.

Benefits
The scholarship is worth $5000, and there is only one available.
The scholarship recipient will receive a trip to the 34th Annual International Women in Aviation Conference (includes round trip airfare, hotel accommodations, and conference fee).
Scholarship funds will be paid directly to your flight school and training must be completed within a year.

In addition to the requirements listed above, please provide an essay answering the following questions. The essay must be double spaced and 500 – 1000 words.
