The Arthur E. and Sibyl M. Ellis Biology and Field Biology Endowed Scholarship was established in memory of former president Arthur Sibyl and his wife after his passing in 2013.
Arthur and Sibyl loved the outdoors and Beaver Island in particular, consequently their son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Theresa Ellis, wanted to honor them by helping students with the added expenses of taking a course at the Biological Station on Beaver Island.
