The Alexandra Health T-Lab Scholarship, established by the SMU-Alexandra Health T-Lab collaboration, seeks to encourage outstanding full-time undergraduates in the Bachelor of Science (Information Systems Management) programme to strive for and achieve academic and professional excellence.Up to two scholarships will be awarded annually with preference for students proceeding to their third year of studies.
Tuition Grant Scheme
Scholars are required to take advantage of the Tuition Grant Scheme (TGS) provided by the Singapore Government for subsidized education. Under the TGS, non-Singaporeans scholars will be obligated to work in Singapore for a minimum period of three years upon graduation.
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Full-time undergraduates of any nationality from Bachelor of Science (Information Systems) programme. Preference for undergraduates proceeding to Year 3 of study. Outstanding academic results. Demonstrate leadership potential, active co-curricular involvement, and community service commitment.
The Scholarship, valued at $7,500, is tenable for one year only and is disbursed in two parts. The Scholarship will offer financial support amounting to S$5,000 towards the scholar’s annual tuition costs and study-related expenses (eg regional Business Study Mission, International Student Exchange Programme with a partner university, etc.). The scholar is required to complete a minimum of 10 weeks’ internship programme offered by the Donor and/or its designated companies for each year the scholarship is awarded and the Scholarship will offer S$2,500 on successful completion of this internship programme. The scholar may be offered career opportunities by the Donor and/or its designated companies. No bond is required under the terms of this Scholarship.
