- Outstanding performance at the comprehensive exam.
- Enrolled status at the time of nomination and the transfer of the award money.

Application
Nominations consist of:
a letter of recommendation by the supervisor or the Doctoral Committee;
CEU doctoral program grade transcripts;
examiner's or committee's report from the comprehensive exam or minutes (if applicable).
Documents are sent in an electronic format.
Nominations are made in the fall following the nominee's first year. Deadline: January 15.
