Aberdeen Global Scholarships for EU Students in UK
- Up to £5,000
Founded in 1495 by Bishop Elphinstone, the University of Aberdeen boasts 500 years of excellence, and has secured a position as a leading international learning centre in the 21st century. Associated with five Nobel Prize winners, we have a proud heritage in teaching and research and focus on equipping our postgraduate taught students with advanced knowledge and techniques in specialised or cross-disciplinary areas of study.
Our results speak for themselves— within six months of graduating, 96% of Aberdeen students go on to employment or further study, and some of our degree programmes provide students with industry placements as well as incorporating chartered examinations in to students’ periods of study.
The scholarship is open to self-funded full-time on campus EU International fee students registering for on-campus programmes, who don’t receive either an externally funded scholarship or any other University of Aberdeen scholarships (excluding awards made by the University of Aberdeen Development Trust).
Do you wish to become an international student next year?
Demonstrate your English skills with IELTS.
This is a £2,000 tuition fee discount available to eligible self-funded Postgraduate Masters students who are classed as International fee status and are domiciled in the EU, plus another £3,000 discount for eligible Postgraduate Masters students who would have previously been eligible for Home fees (Scottish/EU) fee status but, because of Brexit, will now be classified as International students for entry from September 2021.
This means there is a total of £5,000 available for eligible self-funded EU Postgraduate Masters students.
Please note that you do not need to apply separately for this scholarship. Your application for study will be automatically checked for eligibility for the scholarship when you apply. All eligible students will receive the scholarship as a fee discount, and your scholarship will be included in your Offer Letter and in your Certificate of Acceptance to Study (CAS) letter for your visa.
There is no deadline as no application is required for this scholarship beyond the normal application deadlines for the 2021-22 admissions cycles. However, please check that you have firmly accepted an unconditional offer of study with us and that you have sent us confirmation of your self-funding arrangements.
