2017 RIRD Horizon Scholarships in Agriculture, Australia

Rural Industries Research & Development Corporation (RIRDC) is offering Horizon Scholarships in Agriculture for the academic year 2017-2018. These scholarships are now open to first-year university students studying agriculture-related degrees.

RIRDC is a statutory authority established by the Primary Industries Research and Development Act 1989 (PIRD Act).
Through research and development increase knowledge and understanding that fosters innovative, adaptable and valuable rural industries.
To be eligible for the Horizon Scholarship students must be entering their first year of university and studying a degree related to agriculture, such as agricultural science, rural science, livestock/animal science, veterinary science or agribusiness and plant science. Students must also have started their tertiary studies no longer than two years after leaving high school.
The TOEFL® test is a popular option for students to meet the English-language requirements for scholarships.
The Horizon Scholarship, an initiative of the Rural Industries Research & Development Corporation (RIRDC) in partnership with industry sponsors, provides $5,000 per year for the duration of a student’s university degree.
